Colington Volunteer Fire Dept. announces May 2 ‘BBQ to Go’ fundraiser

Encouraging neighbors to help their neighbors, the Colington Volunteer Fire Department has announced that they will be serving up carry-out plates of their famous Eastern North Carolina style barbecue for you to enjoy at home or on the beach on Saturday, May 2, from 4 to 7 p.m.

For $15, plates will include a generous helping of pork barbecue, baked beans, and coleslaw.

Proceeds from the “BBQ to Go” event will benefit ongoing equipment purchases and upgrades for the fire department. Like dessert? A bake sale will be held in conjunction to benefit a local firefighter and his family.

Colington Volunteer Fire Department is located at 108 Schoolhouse Road in Kill Devil Hills.
