Colington Volunteer Fire Dept. preps for annual ‘BBQ To Go’ fundraiser this Saturday

The Colington Volunteer Fire Department will host the 2026 iteration of its annual “BBQ To Go” fundraiser on Saturday, October 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., or until sold out. Proceeds from the barbecue sale will support ongoing equipment upgrades and purchases for the fire department.

The carry-out-only event features meals for $15, which include Eastern Carolina-style pork barbecue, baked beans and coleslaw.

In addition to the barbecue meals, the event will feature a bake sale benefitting the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Colington Volunteer Fire Department is located at 108 Schoolhouse Road in Kill Devil Hills.
