Local surf culture, live music, coastal art, film, and community celebration will take center stage at Village Beach Club on Sunday, October 18, for The Last Swell OBX Surf Film, Art & Music Festival.
Presented by Kona Brewing Company in partnership with Global Surf Network, 17th Street Surf Shop, Bonzer Shack, Nags Head Hammocks, and community partners, the event runs from noon until 8 p.m. with free admission for all ages with no advanced tickets required.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Nags Head’s pristine oceanfront community, Village Beach Club in Nags Head serves as the ideal oceanside gathering place for the day-long festival. Attendees can enjoy the club’s welcoming coastal atmosphere, full-service amenities, and food and beverage offerings while taking in live entertainment and community activities.
“Village Beach Club provides the perfect coastal setting to bring the Outer Banks community together for a celebration of our shared surf heritage,” organizers noted.
As a proud sponsor, 99.1 The Sound will join the community in celebrating local surf culture, music, and art. Festival highlights include live musical performances, surf film screenings, guest speaker presentations, vendor markets, and live surfboard shaping by Clint Runyon.
Proceeds from an all-day charity raffle will directly benefit OBX Room in the Inn, a local nonprofit organization providing shelter, meals, and essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Outer Banks. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the day, with winning numbers drawn at 6:15 p.m.
