13th annual Southern Shores Fall Community Yard Sale sets Oct. 24 date

The Southern Shores Fall Community Yard Sale returns for its 13th annual event on Saturday, October 24, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon at The Marketplace at Southern Shores Shopping Center. A record-breaking 35 registered local families are set to participate this fall.

Participation is open exclusively to Southern Shores residents, with advance registration required.

The semi-annual sale will feature a wide selection of gently used items, including furniture, jewelry, collectibles, books, electronics, toys, tools, adult and children’s clothing, sports equipment, bicycles, fishing rods, seasonal decorations, live plants, and more.

Shoppers can look for signature red yard sale flags directing visitors to the west end parking lot near Cosmo’s Pizza at The Marketplace, located at Milepost 1 off U.S. Route 158 (5543 N. Croatan Highway, across from Walmart).

Admission and parking are free for the public. Children and leashed pets are welcome. In the event of inclement weather, a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, October 25.
