Think espresso martini meets s’mores: rich coffee, chocolate, creamy goodness, graham cracker crumbs and a toasted marshmallow to top it all off. Presenting this week’s Outer Banks Life Recipe of The Week: The S’mores Espresso Martini.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz vodka
- 1 oz coffee liqueur
- 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled
- ½ oz chocolate liqueur
- ½ oz Irish cream
- Ice
- Chocolate syrup, for the glass
- Graham cracker crumbs, for the rim
- 1 large marshmallow, for garnish
- Optional: chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Prep the glass: Drizzle chocolate syrup around the rim of a chilled martini glass. Dip the rim into graham cracker crumbs.
- Make the cocktail: Add vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, chocolate liqueur and Irish cream to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake it up: Shake vigorously for about 15–20 seconds until thoroughly chilled and frothy.
- Pour: Strain into the prepared martini glass.
- Finish: Toast a marshmallow until golden and slightly charred, then place it on a cocktail pick and garnish the drink. Add a little chocolate drizzle or chocolate shavings if you’re feeling extra indulgent.
