Gardening for Wildlife will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Currituck County Extension Office (120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917).

This class is perfect for anyone interested in creating a more eco-friendly landscape that supports native wildlife. Participants will learn what it means to “Garden for Wildlife” and gain practical tips for providing and protecting essential resources in their own yards and beyond. The registration fee is $5.

Rachel Veal, the Conservation Horticulturist at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island, will present the class. She holds a B.S. in Horticulture from the University of Georgia and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from UNC Wilmington, with professional experience in landscaping, nursery production, environmental education, and botany.
