Final call: Submissions close Aug. 13 for annual Halloween International Film Festival

Organizers of the 7th annual Halloween International Film Festival have announced a final call for film submissions ahead of its approaching August 13 deadline. The two-day celebration of independent horror and genre cinema will take place October 23-24, 2026, at Roanoke Island Festival Park.

Filmmakers specializing in independent horror-themed projects are invited to submit short and feature-length films for consideration as official selections for this year’s festival lineup. Submissions are being accepted online exclusively through FilmFreeway at filmfreeway.com/HalloweenFilmFestival.

Festival organizers also revealed that the first wave of early film selection announcements and general admission ticket sales will launch in early August.
